Our Foster Dogs-Chase

August 8, 2011 Chase has only been with us for 5 days, but he's settling in very well. He does well in a crate and is housebroken. He can be a bit timid, so we'll be working on building confidence while he's with us. He walks very well on a leash, doesn't pull at all. He is eating well and needs to gain a few pounds. foster sister love to wrestle and Chase likes to run around the yard with both of our dogs.  Chase has had some big adventures in the last 5 days. He got to go with us up north this weekend with our 2 dogs, 12 other dogs and 14 other people. He went hiking in the woods and got to swim in the lake. He really enjoyed the swimming and was soon going after all the tennis balls that were being thrown. He also went on an evening stroll on the boardwalk along Lake Superior and around Canal Park in Duluth. Overall Chase did well with everything. There were a few times when he was a little stressed out, but we let him take things at his own pace and just reassured him that everything was ok and he would work thru it. It's still too early to know how active he will be so we'll update that in a week or so. |
